AIRPORT EXPANSION

Construction begins on new terminal at Kuwait International Airport. Slated for completion 2022.

Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center has opened in November 2016.

JABER HOSPITAL

Jaber Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah Hospital, considered the largest hospital in the Middle East, is set to open by end of the year.

2018

KUWAIT PETROLEUM CORPORATION INITIATE ENVIRONMENTAL FUEL PROJECT

Project will increase the refining capacity of the company’s refineries environmental fuel to 800 thousand barrels per day. Scheduled for completion in 2019.

2019

CLEAN FUELS PROJECT

Overhaul of the Mina Abdullah and Mina Al-Ahmadi refineries, known as the Clean Fuels Project (CFP), scheduled for completion.

AL ZOUR REFINERY

Will produce 615,000 barrels per day, supplying low-sulphur fuel. Scheduled for completion in 2019.

SOUTH AL MUTLAA CITY PROJECT

Al-Mutlaa City is the largest housing project in Kuwait. It will house 400,000 residents and have 116 schools and 12 public health centers. Scheduled for completion in 2019.

MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE TREATMENT

The KABD site will utilize the latest technology to treat municipal solid waste in Kuwait and aims to protect the environment and land resources. Scheduled for completion in 2031.
